A disturbing video captures the moment an Afghan national inquired about a 12-year-old girl’s age moments before allegedly raping her in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, as presented in court proceedings.
Incident Details Emerge in Court
The footage, recorded in July, shows 23-year-old Ahmad Mulakhil engaging the girl on the street. He asks, “How old are you? 20? 19? 16?” When she responds “nineteen,” he replies, “19? Really?” The pair then walks toward the location of the alleged assault.
Prosecutors state that Mulakhil and 24-year-old Mohammad Kabir, both without a fixed address, targeted the schoolgirl in a playground around 6 p.m. Kabir faces charges of attempting to strangle her with intent to commit a sexual offense, while Mulakhil is accused of multiple rapes occurring after 8 p.m.
The victim was discovered in a petrified state on the street, mumbling to herself. Witnesses described her as frantic, crying, and looking over her shoulder in fear.
Victim’s Account and Witness Testimony
One witness recounted the girl’s words after the incident: “He raped me.” She added that her back hurt from being dragged around and expressed terror, saying, “He’s coming for me,” aware the suspects remained nearby in the park.
The girl told the witness that her attacker threatened to force her into a black BMW and take her to Birmingham and London to rape her again. When asked how she appeared, the witness noted, “She was very scared.”
Another observer described the scene: “You could see she was petrified, frantic, and she was crying. She was mumbling to herself.”
CCTV Evidence and Legal Proceedings
Court evidence included CCTV clips of the men leaving a park near the play area at approximately 6:05 p.m. on July 22. Additional footage showed the victim entering a shop with Mulakhil post-assault, where he purchased two cans of an energy drink.
The trial at Warwickshire Crown Court, now on its second day, revealed that Mulakhil has pleaded guilty to one count of oral rape but denies child abduction, two additional rape charges, two counts of sexual assault, and taking indecent photographs of a child.
Kabir denies all charges against him, including intentional strangulation and attempting to abduct the child. Further threats were reported, with one man allegedly warning the girl of another rape.
The proceedings continue as the court examines the full extent of the allegations.
