An 81-year-old man from Prince County lost his life in a single-vehicle collision on Route 14 near Christopher Cross in West Prince.
West Prince RCMP responded to a 911 call reporting the crash at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Investigators state the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a concrete culvert.
Investigation Underway
The RCMP reports no involvement of drugs or alcohol. The driver, the sole occupant, received transport to Prince County Hospital in Summerside, where he succumbed to his injuries.
A collision analyst from the RCMP attended the scene, and the provincial coroner’s office has been notified. Authorities continue to probe the incident, with the cause of death pending determination.
