3 Orange County girls arrested after police discover over $12,000 value of stolen merchandise

Three girls have been arrested after police discovered over $12,000 value of stolen merchandise in Orange County.

The suspects have been recognized as:

  • Sara Alexandru, 18, of Backyard Grove

  • Simara Ghiocel, 19, of Westminster

  • Sara Mihalaiche, 19, of Backyard Grove

On June 30, license plate readers alerted Irvine police to a van that was used to hold out a retail theft from an Ulta Magnificence retailer in Los Angeles.

Officers positioned the van exiting the Alton Sq. purchasing middle and commenced following it. The suspects ultimately pulled over in a neighborhood, exited the van and fled on foot.

Physique cam footage that was blurred by police confirmed officers monitoring down the ladies as they hid in numerous spots all through the neighborhood. They have been taken into custody.

Contained in the van, police discovered over $12,500 value of stolen merchandise from a number of retail shops in Irvine, Santa Ana and Costa Mesa.

The ladies have been booked on the Orange County Jail on a number of fees together with organized retail theft, grand theft and housebreaking.
